Entrepreneurship Workshop and Field Study - November 2, 2011 (4 photos)
At MEBA's Entrepreneurship Workshop and Field Study, participants learned from fellow educators about classroom and activities to give future entrepreneurs the resources and information needed to become small business owners. Participants heard toured the Logan Energy facilities as well as the SCRA USC Columbia's Innovation Center, hearing from local business owners who have successfully launched their businesses. -
Student Career Days -- October 10 and 11, 2011 (5 photos)
On October 10 and 11, MEBA hosted the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Career Day and Heathcare Career Day, respectively, for 8th grade students from throughout the Midlands. The events were held at Midlands Technical College Airport Campus and provided students an up close look at education and careers in related industries. -

On October 5, 2011, Midlands educators participated the Health Sciences Educator Field Study hosted by MEBA's Health Sciences Alliance. Participants visited several healthcare facilities and heard from presenters representing Palmetto Health, Providence Hospital, Lexington Medical Center, Fortis College, SC Department of Education, USC School of Medicine Simulation Center, Midlands Technical College, and the SC Hospital Association. -
