Chad Foster Teaches High School 101 to Midlands Educators

On September 28, 2011, more than 50 Midlands educators took part in MEBA’s High School 101 training led by renowned speaker and author, Chad Foster. High School 101 is an innovative, project-based curriculum designed to prepare students to succeed not only in the classroom but also in the workplace. Foster, best-selling author of Teenagers Preparing for the Real World and Financial Literacy for Teens, seasoned his presentation with humor and powerful anecdotes that introduced participants to 10 curriculum components including: Communication, Personal Learning Styles, Technology Literacy, People Skills, Choice and Consequences, Test-Taking/Study Skills, Time Management, Business Literacy, Tolerance/Diversity and Financial Literacy.

The training was sponsored by MEBA, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Advised Fund of Central Carolina Community Foundation and the Lipscomb Family Foundation.
