MEBA To Host High School 101 Educator Training Featuring Best-Selling Author Chad Foster

Midlands Education and Business Alliance (MEBA) will host High School 101 Educator Training for Midlands educators on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at Midlands Technical College Harbison Campus. High School 101 is an innovative, project-based curriculum designed to prepare students to succeed in the classroom as well as the workplace. It is composed of 10 independent units including: Communication, Personal Learning Styles, Technology Literacy, People Skills, Choices and Consequences, Test-Taking/Study Skills, Time Management, Business Literacy, Tolerance/Diversity, and Financial Literacy.

Chad Foster, best-selling author of Teenagers Preparing for the Real World and Financial Literacy for Teens, will serve as the featured presenter. Sponsored by MEBA, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Advised Fund of Central Carolina Community Foundation and the Lipscomb Family Foundation, the training is designed for Midlands school administrators, counselors and educators. Event registration has closed, but members of the media are welcome to attend.
