MEBA would like to thank three Midlands corporations – Bank of America, SCE&G and FN Manufacturing -- for donations made this year in support MEBA’s work and mission.
Bank of America’s gift of $10,000 helped provide educator training, Your Child is Job #1 resources and Framework for Understanding Poverty Training. SCE&G provided $5000 in support of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Alliance, which works to promote and develop STEM education resources, career awareness and workforce development throughout the Midlands. FN Manufacturing gave $2500 to help generate awareness about manufacturing careers in the Midlands. These donations are not only a testament to MEBA’s success in connecting education and business to produce a stronger workforce and economy, but also are critical to our continued efforts.
“We are grateful to these businesses for their generosity and for their confidence in our work, says Lisa Call, MEBA’s Chief Operating Officer. “Their investments show they are committed to the Midlands community and to helping students achieve and businesses succeed.”
