College

By the time a student reaches college, the student should have been through the career decision-making process to determine their career interest. The college and type of degree selected should be based on the future career choice. Students should continue to participate in extended learning opportunities such as internships, mentoring, shadowing, apprenticeships, service learning and volunteering. Extended learning opportunities offer unique opportunities for students to gain work related skills. Using information gained through these experiences, students can make a more informed decision regarding their future career.
